Meet the Team:

Maureen Quaranta

General Manager
MarCom and Trade Shows
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc.

I have a BS, Business Degree with a concentration in Marketing and hold a Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) certification. I have worked at Shimadzu for almost 34 years and currently manage the MarCom Department where my team is responsible for the company’s branding, advertising, social media, website, webstore, virtual trade shows, and live trade shows. I personally have executed over 2500 shows during my time at Shimadzu. As a working manager, my responsibilities include the overall execution of tradeshow operations as well as customer events, with direct, hands-on involvement in everything from show selection, budgeting, bidding, and management of the customer experience to handling of leads and post-show evaluation. I currently serve or have served on several trade show advisory and advocacy boards and am on the Global Branding Committee for Shimadzu Corporation in Japan.

Janine Campbell

Field & Events Marketing Specialist

Janine Campbell brings over four years of expertise as a Field & Events Marketing Specialist at Xylem, following her tenure in the medical device industry. With a strong background in events, marketing, and communications, Janine excels in orchestrating quality corporate events and customer-facing initiatives. Her meticulous attention to detail and strategic planning skills are evident in both the nuanced aspects and overarching strategies she implements, reflecting her genuine passion for elevating every event to its fullest potential.

Alicia Douglas Stell

Market Development Manager
CEM

Dr. Alicia Douglas Stell has worked with CEM for the past 16 years, joining after completing her PhD in Analytical Chemistry. Her extensive background in chromatographic analysis and her mechanical expertise have been integral in the development of both instrumentation and novel applications. In her role as Market Development Manager, she is continuously exploring new applications and markets for innovative technology, focused around sample preparation.

Nicki Janus

Administrative Manager
FRITSCH Milling & Sizing Inc.

Nicki is the Administrative Manager for FRITSCH Milling & Sizing Inc., the US subsidiary of FRITSCH GmbH, headquartered in Germany.  She joined FRITSCH in the fall of 2018 to handle office, marketing and tradeshow management for the company.  Located in North Carolina the team offers domestic support for milling, sample prep and particle size characterization instruments by offering application consulting, proof of concept testing, sales and service. She brings 15+ years of experience working in manufacturing and customer service roles to assist the team in offering solutions for clients and collaborators.

Ken Ochi

Manager, Global Marketing & Customer Relations
Confience

Ken Ochi has responsibilities for Confience’s global marketing strategy which encompasses the company’s product and industry marketing initiatives. Industry marketing also includes speaking engagements and establishing relationships with industry groups in Confience’s core markets in laboratory automation including food and beverage, agriculture, environmental and water/wastewater utilities.

 

Ken has been in the enterprise software field for over twenty years and has been with Confience (formerly Accelerated Technology Laboratories (ATL) and the laboratory informatics sector for over twelve years. He has been a key point person at Confience in growing the company’s presence as a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in the environmental sector. Ken has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Purdue University.

Rochelle Merino

Senior Vice President of Operations
JAF Consulting, Inc.

Rochelle Merino holds the position of Senior Vice President of Operations at JAF Consulting, Inc., a leading professional regulatory compliance organization specializing in quality and compliance services for the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries. With over fifteen years of extensive experience in the field, Rochelle brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Rochelle's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies and a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law, complemented by additional certification in Regulatory Analysis and Compliance. Her specialization lies in contract drafting and negotiation, a skill set she leverages effectively in her multifaceted role at JAF.

Within JAF, Rochelle wears many hats, including oversight of the accounting group, leadership of the marketing team to develop innovative and captivating marketing strategies, and management of all Human Resource functions. Her dedication to fostering a positive work environment is evident in her current initiative of spearheading internal wellness campaigns aimed at promoting effective mental and physical health techniques among employees.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Rochelle believes in the importance of work-life balance and enjoys indulging in leisure activities such as Netflix or Hulu binges. Additionally, she channels her creativity and passion into custom decorated cookies, further showcasing her multifaceted talents and interests.
