Adapting to the Times
We’ve adapted Pittcon to the times because we want to make certain that our attendees and exhibitors – the very people who comprise the international science community – have access to the same dynamic exposition and technical programming made available at the 71 in-person Pittcons prior. This installment of Pittcon may look different, and it will be because it is our sole mission to offer all the benefits associated with a face-to-face Pittcon, tailored to a virtual environment.
You’ve probably got a few questions. We completely understand that. As scientists, we love questions, and especially having the chance to answer them, which is why we ask that you please take a moment to read the text below. How is Virtual Pittcon going to differ from Face-to-Face Pittcon?
Well, it’s virtual. We’ve put the time in to make sure we do this right. Our perspective on the matter is that either we implement the best virtual show possible or, given the uncertainty we are all facing, we cancel Pittcon 2021. We need scientific collaboration now more than ever so the decision to adapt Pittcon 2021 to a new format was an easy one for us to make.
Our research into the matter led us to attend a great deal of other virtual shows, ask many of our exhibitors what they wanted, and ask our attendees what they found most engaging. Pittcon 2021 is different not only from what Pittcon usually has been, but it is different from other virtual shows. Our intent was never to simply turn a face-to-face show into a virtual one, but instead, to create a completely new virtual Pittcon.
How will Pittcon ensure that exhibiting virtually is the right investment?
Pittcon is the leading annual conference and exposition on laboratory science, continually bringing together the top researchers, top decision makers, top purchasers, and top innovators in the field. We believe that this does not change in the virtual environment.
Now, our international reach extends even further to include attendees who for whatever reason could not attend a face-to-face Pittcon. Now, our international reach extends even deeper to include more laboratories, more universities, more agencies, and more purchasers. Our attendee profile just made a transnational quantum leap.
Laboratory Science: Now More Than Ever
The instrumentation, the products, and the services are needed now more than ever by those working on the world’s viral maladies. Though things might look a little different for everyone these days, access to the top researchers, top decision makers, and top innovators in the world, will not.
