Covid Safety Strategy

Pittcon is committed to a safe, collaborative conference and exposition for every participant. We want you to continue to experience the same level of the direct and candid scientific access for which Pittcon has been renowned for decades. Keeping this ever in mind, we are reinforcing our safety policies and working together with our partners in Atlanta, our 2022 host city, to realize and employ the following safety directives:

»» All participants are required to wear masks while attending

»» All participants are required to provide verification of wellness

»» All participants will have access to an on-site rapid testing location

»» Numerous sanitization stations will be placed in all locations

»» It is expected that all participants follow respiratory etiquette policies

The safety of all Pittcon participants is our first priority. Due to recent developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we updated our Safety Strategy on January 4, 2022, with specific regard to vaccination and/or negative test verification. Please read below for more details…

All participants attending Pittcon are required to wear a face mask to protect themselves and others against viral spread. Masks will be available at no charge for those who might not have one.

Pittcon requires that all participants provide proof of either vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to initial entry into Pittcon. We have partnered with a trusted medical diagnostic provider to collect this information, which will be kept confidential under the HIPAA Privacy Rule.

Pittcon is providing on-site rapid COVID-19 testing to those wishing to be tested. This service is made available through a third-party testing provider, billable often at no charge to your health insurance.

The Pittcon conference lobbies and exposition floor will have numerous sanitization stations available for use by all participants.

It is expected that all in attendance at Pittcon remain aware of the safety of all others in attendance. Respiratory etiquette may be as simple as covering coughs and sneezes.

Pittcon has been working closely with our 2022 host venue, the Georgia World Congress Center, to ensure the health and safety of all participants of our conference and exposition.

The Georgia World Congress Center was the first convention center in the nation to attain the GBAC STARtm accreditation. Details of this highly sought-after accreditation awarded by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) may be reviewed here.

The Georgia World Congress Center’s health and safety information, including a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions, may be reviewed here.

Pittcon has also been working closely with our 2022 host city to help enrich your Atlanta experience. The Atlanta Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, has provided a wealth of information on their website for safely traveling and enjoying the city’s world-class hotels, restaurants, and attractions. To access this incredibly helpful resource, click here.

Pittcon is adherent to all travel guidelines as mandated by the United States of America and the state of Georgia. We also understand that global travel restrictions still affect our international partners.

Pittcon has contracted a third-party shuttle service to provide transportation to and from affiliate hotels and the Georgia World Congress Center. This service requires that all passengers wear a mask while riding the shuttles.
