Pittcon Today Excellence Awards

Overview

The Pittcon Today Excellence Awards are the premier business awards recognizing ingenuity and innovation at the world’s leading conference and exposition for laboratory science.

These awards are open to all exhibitors participating with a minimum of one booth at Pittcon. There is no cost to enter, and there is no limit to the number of products you may enter; however, for each product to be considered, you must enter separate submissions.

Criteria for Submission:

  • The product submitted for award consideration must be on the market or ready to go to market.
  • The product must have been launched after January 2024, and must be a true innovation, not just an incremental improvement.

  • Entry deadline is Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Judging

Entries are judged by an independent blue chip panel of experts from academia and leading industry publications. Judges will evaluate entries based on ingenuity, creativity, implementation and outcomes. The principal criterion is the projected impact the product will have on the industry and the world.

  • There will be a Bronze, Silver and Gold award in each of the three categories based on company size determined by sales volume—small, medium and large companies.
  • Finalists will be notified via email in late February.The final announcement of winners in each category will take place on the opening day of the conference.

  • Each finalist will receive a personalized plaque and be promoted through Pittcon Today and other Pittcon channels.

    Who can enter?
    The awards are open to all exhibitors participating in Pittcon 2025.

    Must I disclose sales numbers?
    Yes. The self-reported sales numbers are used to determine your category for entry and help judges evaluate the goals and outcomes relative to your budget. An exact number is not required and will not be publicized; only a reasonable budget range is needed.

    Why the option of two dates for the finalist announcement?
    In the event that you would not like to publicly disclose product details before the conference, you are given the option of choosing between two dates for disclosing your participation if you are chosen as a finalist: the standard date (February 21) or the embargo date (February 28). Judges will keep all product details confidential until the announcement.

    Are supporting materials required?
    No. Supporting materials are not required, but may increase your chances of winning an award. Materials should emphasize the product’s impact and provide specific examples of success.

List details of the industry or sector you are working in. List the project team members, including project lead.
