Dr. Lednev will receive the Pittsburgh Spectroscopy Award for his world-recognized accomplishments in the area of Laser Spectroscopy, including his vision and efforts leading to the elevation of Raman spectroscopy to a state-of-the-art tool in the Forensic Science and Medical Diagnostics fields along with his application of Deep UV Raman Spectroscopy to the study of protein structure, protein aggregation and molecular dynamics.

The Pittsburgh Conference Achievement Award is given annually to a researcher who has made a significant and independent impact in the area of analytical chemistry within the first ten years after his or her doctoral degree. The award has been presented jointly with Pittcon since 2002 and is given out each year at a special ceremony during the Pittcon Conference and Exposition. The recipient’s name and achievements are added to the Pittcon Hall of Fame, which conference attendees can visit at the show each year.

The Pittsburgh Analytical Chemist Award, established in 1978, is granted annually to a scientist, whose body of work has had significant impacts on the field of analytical chemistry as well as the education and of developing scientists.

This award is presented at Pittsburgh Conference and Exposition each year during an Invited Symposium honoring the awardee.

The Ralph N. Adams Award in Bioanalytical Chemistry recognizes significant contributions to the field of bioanalytical chemistry. The recipient will have introduced a significant technique, theory or instrument, or applications thereof, important to the life sciences, and provided an exceptional environment to educate bioanalytical chemists. Ralph N Adams (1924-2002) exemplified these characteristics as a distinguished professor of chemistry at the University of Kansas.The Ralph N. Alexandra Knauer is the CEO and owner of the Berlin-based scientific instruments manufacturer KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH. She led the transformation of a venerable instrument company into new markets and has recently overseen the development of novel instruments vital for producing mRNA vaccines. Knauer has been committed to supporting women’s success in typically male professions, eliminating the gender pay gap at her own company while mentoring future leaders.
