Pittcon will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from March 18 – March 22, 2023.
Conference Week Expectations
Student assistance is needed prior to and throughout Conference Week. Some Committees such as Program, Short Courses, Meeting Coordinator, and Property, Insurance, Equipment (PIE) are especially busy prior to the opening of Pittcon, and may need volunteers beginning on Saturday, March 18 (to be determined later).
Other Committees will need help from Sunday, March 19, through Wednesday, March 22.
Work Day Expectations
All Student Aides will be assigned duties requiring four hours each day for a minimum of four days at the Conference. Generally, the choice of attendance options are arrival in Philadelphia on Saturday, March 18, and work shifts on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with departure on the evening of Wednesday, March 22, or arrival in Philadelphia on Sunday, March 19, and work shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with departure on the evening of Wednesday, March 22.
This will work best if students from each college choose the same option. (Please note shifts that end at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, accommodations will be made, if necessary, for students working these shifts.) Each student will work out their individual schedule with the chairman of the committee to which they are assigned. Students may spend their remaining time attending papers, visiting booths on the Expo floor, or in another activity of the student’s choice.
