Pittcon 2010, the 61st annual Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy, will continue to feature the world’s most comprehensive coverage of traditional and emerging disciplines of analytical science and instrumental analysis. Scientists and educators will have a unique opportunity to learn new skills, get updated on cutting edge applications and techniques, and network with their colleagues face-to-face.
You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for a contributed oral or poster presentation. Pittcon 2010 seeks a diverse and comprehensive technical program covering all areas of analytical science. All contributed abstracts must be submitted electronically using the Pittsburgh Conference website, www.pittcon.org. Faxed or mailed abstracts will not be accepted. Please visit our website and click on the Technical Program link for abstract submission instructions. The deadline to submit an abstract for Pittcon 2010 is Friday, August 14, 2009.
It is very important that you submit the abstract on time. Abstracts received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list and their incorporation to the Technical Program is not guaranteed. The review of abstracts will be completed by early September 2009. Accepted papers will be grouped according to technique or methodology, if practical. Applications of the analytical technique or methodology will be used as a secondary means of organizing the sessions.
Based on an overwhelming response to the Technical Program in Pittcon 2009, I am delighted to inform you that in 2010, the American Chemical Society – Division of Analytical Chemistry (ACS-DAC) will continue to co-program with Pittcon with an expanded area of coverage. Below is a partial list of symposium topics for Pittcon 2010. This list, however, is in no way intended to limit the scope of the contributed program. We strive to have a well-balanced Technical Program to cover all areas of analytical science, as well as the scientific aspects of current global issues such as sustaining energies, global warming, etc. On behalf of the Pittcon Organizing Committee, I invite you to share your research discoveries at Pittcon 2010, submit an abstract by the deadline, and join us and your colleagues at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA, February 28 – March 4, 2010.
Sincerely,
Janeth K. Pifer
Pittcon 2010 Program Committee Chairman
