Pittsburgh, PA – April 26, 2016 – The Pittcon Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that Charles “Chuck” Gardner was named president for Pittcon 2019. Chuck has been a volunteer member of Committee since 1987. Since then, he has served in a number of key leadership positions including secretary of the board of directors and treasurer and was chairman for both the program and exposition committees.
In his professional career, Dr. Gardner is the director of product management at ChemImage Corporation where he leads the development of microscopic and standoff hyperspectral imaging systems for the detection of threats in real world applications.

When asked to comment on his recent appointment, Gardner replied, “I am honored and excited to be leading the Pittcon Committee to its first return to Philadelphia. Our experience in 2013 showed that its proximity to key researchers in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical and biotechnology fields make Philadelphia the ideal city to host Pittcon 2019.”

Pittcon 2019 will be held in Philadelphia, PA, March 17-21 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
