Target Audience

This course is targeted to technicians, analysts, quality engineer and quality managers primarily in Petroleum testing laboratories that need to implement Tier 3 fuel testing requirements mandated under 40 CRF 80.47 requirements. However course is designed so that it is suitable for participants from any high throughput analytical laboratory.

Course Description

Participants of this course will learn how to implement control chart based quality (QA) program to evaluate analytical measurement system performance, maintain its stability and monitor its precision and bias. In this course we will present step by step implementation of QA program, statistical methods used in such program and practical guidelines for interpretation of analytical measurement system performance. Course is developed from ASTM D6299 standard and will help participants from Petroleum testing industry with implementation of Tier 3 fuel testing requirements mandated under 40 CRF 80.47. Prerequisite for this course is good knowledge of I/MR, X-bar/R, X-bar/S , EWMA and CUSUM control chart. This can be met by taking course: Control Charts – Tools for Monitoring Testing Process.
