Metrohm USA picks its first $10,000 Young Chemist and Adds New Division
Metrohm USA announces its first Young Chemist Award winners and introduces a new division that adds near-infrared spectroscopy to its ever-growing product portfolio.
Metrohm USA has created the Young Chemist award to recognize, celebrate and support our brilliant science leaders of the future. Join us in congratulating Mr. Matthew Dawson (University of California Irvine) on being the $10K grand-prize winner. And because of the difficulty our panelist/judges had in selecting just one winner among so many entries, they decided to award a runner-up prize of $1,000 to Ms. Caroline Parworth (University of California Davis).
April 1st is the “official” launch of Metrohm’s newest division, NIRSystems, but you can get a sneak peek and meet the NIR experts at PITTCON. This strategic alliance formed between Metrohm and FOSS brings the newly created Metrohm NIRSystems into the global Metrohm family. This division expands Metrohm’s traditional focus on wet chemistry applications to include Near-Infrared (NIR) analyzers for the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, and related industries. NIR solutions help shorten cycle times and increase plant capacity while complying with strict regulatory guidelines.
Both Young Chemist winners and the newest addition to the Metrohm family will be celebrated at a special press conference at PITTCON, Tuesday March 19th from 3-4pm in Philadelphia, PA. This press conference is open to all PITTCON attendees: stop by the Metrohm booth to receive your free entry & drink ticket by 12pm that Tuesday. Booth 1141.
