Pittcon Announces Topics for Conferee Networking Sessions

Pittsburgh, PA – October 23, 2012 - The Pittcon Organizing Committee has recently announced the topics for Conferee Networking to be held at Pittcon 2013, which will be in Philadelphia, PA, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from March 17-21, 2013.

Conferee Networking sessions are free to all registered attendees and provide an informal venue for a small group of 15 to 25 participants to openly discuss topics of mutual interest or solve problems specific to certain instrumentation or procedures.

This year, there are 42 facilitated sessions during Conference week. These unique networking opportunities begin on Sunday and run through Wednesday afternoon. All sessions will be held in the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown which is connected to the convention center. Topics include discussions in areas such as bioanalytics, environmental science, fuels/energy/petrochemicals, genomics, nanotechnology, pharmaceutical and many more.

Conferee Networking Chairmen Fu-Tyan Lin commented, “Networking has always been one of the main reasons members of the scientific community attend Pittcon. Since these sessions were introduced in 2007, they have grown in popularity and have become a significant way for conferees to meet with colleagues from around the world to find solutions to laboratory challenges.” Co-chair Fu-mei Lin added, “This year’s program is very diverse covering a wide range of topics in techniques, methodologies, instrumentation, and analysis.”
